Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland is a registered charity (CHY 13394), formed in 1995 by parents of children with Dyspraxia/DCD.
Sharon has over 20 years' experience in the not for profit and public services sectors in Ireland and Australia with a particular focus on social and health service delivery, advocacy and change management. She holds formal qualifications in Youth and Community Development, Business Management (Health), Human Resource Management (Health) and is a passionate advocate for the effective implementation of evidence based programs in the health and human services fields. Ann Marie joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in January 2019 and serves as the Secretary to the Board. Ann Marie is a qualified solicitor since 2000 with extensive experience in private practice and as inhouse counsel in multinational companies, 3M and Unilever. Ann Marie is currently Group Legal Counsel for an international metals business and is based in Dublin.
Aoife joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in March 2018. Aoife holds a degree in accounting and finance from DCU. She currently work as a Senior Project Manager for Hedgefacts International having previously spent 10 years as a Senior Vice President at JP Morgan. Aoife is a mum of two kids, one who was diagnosed with Dyspraxia/DCD in 2014. She co-runs the Fingal Dyspraxia/DCD support group and she runs the Fingal Dyspraxia/DCD workshop. Aoife joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in February 2018.
Mark joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in July 2018. Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 21 years of experience working in private practice and industry. He is currently employed as Group Purchasing Financial Controller of Dawn Meats and previous to that worked in PwC. In 2017 his then 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with both Dyslexia and Dyspraxia/DCD and arising from this he joined the local support group/club for Dyspraxia/DCD in Waterford.
Aisling joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in January 2019. She is a qualified accountant with 10 years post qualification experience. She is currently head of Finance for the Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland and has a wealth of experience in dealing with Boards, Audit Committees and Finance Committees. In addition, her daughter has Dyspraxia/DCD, thus the cause is very close to her heart.
Adrienne joined the Board of Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland in June 2019. Adrienne is a qualified accountant and works as a Management Accountant. She recently worked as the secretary to the board in the permanent school building, Gaelscoil Bharra where they campaigned for a number of years to have the school housed in a permanent building as they were in prefabs. The permanent building opened last September. Adrienne has a daughter who is 12 who has Dyspraxia/DCD and Dyscalculia and she attends the Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland Cairde Club every week.
Eoin joined the board in June 2019. He has been working with youth organisations for several years. He fundraised for the ISPCC and ran a marathon for Barnardos. While coaching with Ratoath Athletics, he was on the committee for five years and the Child Welfare Officer for three years. During that time, Eoin was also the Child Welfare Officer on the Meath Athletics committee for two years, overseeing the sixteen athletics clubs in the county. Eoin is currently an adult volunteer with Scouting Ireland since 2015, where he specifically assists with First Aid, Hillwalking and Camping skills. He has raised funds for Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland by running a 64k ultramarathon, and attained corporate sponsorship from his employer where he works as an IT Manager.
