Following the huge success of their inaugural DCDynamos activity club for young people with Dyspraxia/DCD the Dyspraxia/DCD Waterford group have are running a second six week block of activities at the WIT Arena. The DCDynamos club was officially launched on Saturday 25th August and was attended by Minister John Halligan Deputey Mary Butler and Senator Paudie Coffey along with the club's committee members, many many volunteers and children, teens and young adults with Dyspraxia/DCD.
The DCDynamos club offers those with Dyspraxia/DCD (and their siblings) an opportunity to play sport such as cycling, football and badmington along with drama, and other OT and sensory based activities. The club's focus is in faciliating young people with Dyspraxia/DCD to do things at their own pace, and for parents to get information and support they may not know is available.
The next 6 week block of activities beigns on Monday September 17th.

Separately the DCDynamos have organised a number of public talks which will take place in the Teacher Training Centre in Waterford starting on Tuesday September 26th. The schedule includes talks by physiotherapists, an educational psychologist and an Assistive Technologist from WIT. All talks are open to teachers, SNA’s, parents, carers, and anyone with an interest in neurological disorders.
